The Lowdown

The Monaghan Women in Business Network is a Local Enterprise Office initiative and Local Enterprise Office Monaghan supports and highly subsidises all Monaghan Women in Business activities.

The Network Relaunch

The Network has received a fresh new brand to be representative of the strong, vibrant women in business. It gives a contemporary look and feel to the Monaghan Women in Business Network.

In preparation for the relaunch, a new brand was developed, the website was revamped and a host of new member benefits were added to maximise the member’s opportunities for connection, learning and growth.

The Coordinators

Dawn Leane and Jean Evans recently took over the running of the Monaghan Women in Business Network, alongside Pamela Kerr and Caroline Hunt from the Local Enterprise Office in Monaghan.

The Importance of Monaghan Women in Business Network

Networking is about building community, building business, building contacts.

But first and foremost it’s about building confidence.

Without personal development  and growth in skills, such as communication, speaking and connecting, business owners cannot network effectively.

Dawn and Jean are committed to creating the appropriate opportunities for members to share knowledge, build relationships and promote their businesses.

Member Benefits

Plans for the year include:

  1. a podcast
  2. quarterly newsletter
  3. member profiles on social media
  4. amplification and support via social media for member posts
  5. an interactive website directory

Members get a page to promote their business, complete with the opportunity to include their social details, business description and photos. You can see samples here from members Purple Peach, D’s Cakes and Aslan Coaching as examples.

5. Members will have the opportunity of submitting offers, blogs and be in a position to actively promote their services.

6. A series of in person and online events are also being planned.

Most of these member benefits are included in the membership fee.  Some events have a ticket price of €10.

The next scheduled event is 20th April 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblaney.  Jean Evans will facilitate a networking event for members. The booking link for this event is here.
